Sir Ian McKellan may be famed for his role as distinguished wizard Gandalf The Grey from The Lord Of The Rings (and now The Hobbit) films, but, in real life, he's a great deal more mischievous.
In fact, the knighted actor recently stripped down to his underwear - be still, our beating hearts - in an onstage costume change at the annual Make Believe Gala in New York.
Revealing, as he did so, some seriously awesome Gandalf-themed underwear.

"You shall not pass" takes on an entirely new meaning now, doesn't it? Try watching the iconic scene now without giggling. Go on, we dare you; we can wait.
