Angelina Jolie set to play Nigella Lawson in new film

After the year Nigella Lawson’s had, it’s no great surprise that Hollywood producers fancy making a film about her, is it?

What with that nasty Charles Saatchi business, her assistants being done for fraud, plus the ol’ cocaine admission, it’s been quite the year for TV cook Nigella.

And who would make a better Nigella (apart from Nigella herself of course) than Hollywood royalty Angelina Jolie?

That’s right – rumour has it producers have inundated the Tomb Raider star with scripts, and she is their number one choice to play the Domestic Goddess.

Last night an insider told The Sun: “Angie had planned to take a lot of time off next year but this role is very tempting. She has been gripped like everyone else by all the drama surrounding Nigella these past few months and thinks she is a remarkable woman.

“The story has got it all — and she’s as intrigued as anyone else by it.”

Who wore it best? Miley Cyrus vs Nicole Richie

These two American starlets both have musical dads in common, but who knew they also shared a sense of style? Baring nothing (but her feet), Hollywood’s resident teenage rebel Miley Cyrus took to the X Factor stage on November 17th last year in a gold body-skimming Marc Jacobs masterpiece. Tired of seeing Miley forgetting her pants?! Us too. So this floor length frock was a breath of fresh air. Pairing it with a Brick Lane turban, slick red lips and bare feet, Miley’s unusually conservative look appeared pretty effortless.

Nicole Richie wore her version in June at the CFDA Awards in New York City styled with a sleek up-do, a golden Cali tan, and... we can’t quite see her shoes, but knowing Nicole we’re sure they’re fab. The miniature white box clutch was a welcome accompaniment, (although how she’s going to squeeze her essentials into it we don’t know…). So heatworlders, they both look fabulous in our eyes, but who’s your golden girl? Who wore it best?

will.i.am says he will make this year’s winner of The Voice a success

The Hindenburg of self-indulgent typography ‘will.i.am’ says he will back this year’s winner of The Voice UK all the way – and says he is prepared to wait ten years to make them a star. Ringing endorsement, there.
As he told Metro today, will.i.am’s experience with Black Eyed Peas – who were signed to label Interscope for a decade before their big break came in 2004 – means he is prepared to graft on behalf of his contestants, citing last year’s runner-up Leah McFall as an example of his commitment to the show.
“I am still fighting for Leah,” he said. “She came on tour with me. She came to Los Angeles and recorded her whole album. We finished officially last week.

“I think maybe she wasn’t meant to break in 2013, maybe she is to break 2014. Who is to say when the artist is to be a mega star? I am committed. And so is Leah.”

And though the show is yet to discover an actual star and/or anyone even mildly memorable in its two-year run, ‘will’ is confident this year will see the first of many Voice contestants breaking into the industry.

“The only way I know how to do it is how I experienced it with the Black Eyed Peas,” he said. “If it wasn’t for [Interscope Records] Jimmy Iovine who believed in us to keep us on the label, Black Eyed Peas would have got forgotten between ’97 to 2004 when we finally had a break. And then 2005 came and we released another album. And then in 2009 we hit it really big. But we were signed for almost ten years before we broke as an act!” And then they bought out Boom Boom Pow, the worst song actually ever!

Kristen Stewart goes topless in new perfume ad; R-Pattz rumoured to be dating artist

Kristen Stewart is naked (and mega hot) in some posh new perfume ads while her ex-fella has been rumoured to have spent some time over the festive period getting cosy with another lady...
K-Stew and R-Pattz have so many ups and downs we've been left feeling seasick. It was thought the previously loved-up pair might reconcile and meet on the Isle of Wight for their usual New Year break. Instead reports of Rob becoming close to Nettie Wakefield, an artist he commissioned a painting from, emerged we can't help but feel this might be the final down. In a bizarre twist the art Rob had asked Nettie to create was said to be a gift for Kristen...

Oh well, K-Stew doesn't need another painting. She might need some new clothes, though! Twilight star K-Stew is no stranger to being naked in front of the camera. In indie flick On The Road the 23-year-old brunette played free-spirited Mary Lou and spent a chunk of time with very much on. Stewart has ditched the threads again, this time in the name of fashion.

Swanky fashion house Balenciaga and Kristen Stewart have been in a happy relationship for a couple of years now with the star regularly rocking their clothes on red carpets and attending fashion shows to watch the clothes move along a catwalk. Kristen is also a big fan of Balanciaga's fragrance having posed for the signature brand in a cool campaign. For the fresh new scent, Rosabotanica, Kristen has shed her boyish clothes in favour of a few well-placed fleurs. The pictures highlight K-Stew's beauty; showing off smoky eye make up, fluttery lashes and sculpted cheekbones.

Can Kylie Minogue breathe life back into The Voice? Pint-sized popstar claims she was offered the job BEFORE the first series!

So, hey, we just got back from The Voice UK launch and we’re pretty excited. We’re not allowed to tell you much about the episode we saw (although it’ll go up on BBC’s iPlayer on Thursday if you want a sneak peek), but we can tell you that it was good.
The new coaches (Tom Jones told us off for calling them ‘judges’), Kylie Minogue and Kaiser Chief’s Ricky Wilson are great. They’re funny and flirtatious and c’mon, KYLIEKYLIEKYLIE – it’s Kylie.
The 45-year-old told us how she’s been asking her sister Dannii for advice on being a talent show judge (coach) and added: “I’ve watched her so much and now I can fully relate. I understand about being ‘TV Tired’ now.”
She also admitted, rather interestingly, that she turned down the job before series one because she “wasn’t ready.”
Our other favourite moments:
  • will.i.am referring to Tom as the King of Wales (we think he actually believes this is who Tom is).
  • Kylie needing a step to get up to her big red chair.
  • Ricky talking about comparisons to his predecessor, The Scripts’ Danny O’Donoghue, saying: “I can’t wear those low slung t-shirts.”
  • Will saying ‘toupee’ to Tom when he went ‘touché’.
  • Ricky taking a swipe at X Factor, saying: “If you want to see people making fools of themselves go to other shows.” Meow.
  • Kylie admitting that she “wouldn’t even get in the door” if she and Jessie J went head-to-head in a singing competition.
  • Will admitting, “I don’t like reality TV.” No comment.
The Voice starts at 7pm on Saturday 11th January on BBC One.

Sandra Bullock Googled herself and it wasn’t nice

You know when your best mate does something and you wish you could give them a little slap because whatever they have done was silly? That’s how we feel about this Sandra Bullock story.

Sandy B is obviously an awesome human being. We have wanted to be her many times in life, particularly when she was riding around on a bus with a very buff Keanu Reeves (yeah, yeah, so the bus had a bomb…). So when we heard she had spent an evening Googling herself we wanted to grab her and give her a good old shake. After which we would happily cuddle her and make margaritas, obvs. Why? Because the worldwide web is full of not very things and we don’t want lovely Sandy seeing any of that! Luckily for us (and her) the actress has thick skin and mega-LOLZ humour and managed to see the funny side of a few of the unsavoury comments she stumbled across.

Talking at the Palm Springs International Film Festival 2014 Awards Gala where she collected her Desert Palm Achievement Award (in yo’ faces haters!) Sandra gave the gathered audience some advice…
“So, I Googled myself and read the comments section, thinking I could get some tidbits of what people really think of me. No human being should ever read the comments sections or ever Google one's self at any time.
Some things I was very well aware of. 'Sandra Bullock is over 40' came up a lot. I know that. 'Sandra Bullock's way past 40'. Yeah, I know that too…
‘There's absolutely nothing special about her acting. She's not particularly attractive. I can't stand her, she's mediocre’…
And apparently Julia [Roberts, who was in the crowd]... You and I are in dispute over George Clooney. We talked about this, right? It's shared custody and we're both fine with it.”
We think we might have fallen head-over-heels for the Gravity star all over again.
