Looking at her most outlandish outfits is likely to make one feel as though they are tripping heavily through time and space, so it's little wonder that Lady Gaga swears by marijuana - purely for medical reasons, of course.
The Applause singer has admitted getting more than a little hooked to the drug while suffering from a severe hip injury, as she claimed smoking it helped ease the pain.
"I was just numbing, numbing, numbing myself then sleeping it off, then getting on stage, killing it in pain, then getting off and smoking, smoking, smoking, not knowing what pain was," she told The Sun.
"F**k, if I know what hurts the most, you know? I would break the habit and it would sneak back in and I would break it and sneak back in."
Lady Ganja - sorry, Gaga - was confined to a wheelchair after surgery to her hip last year, which was caused by her high-impact dance routines and gruelling work schedule.
As a result, she had to cancel a string of dates on her Born This Way tour and scale down her engagements.
Now she's back with her new album, Artpop, which is released on Monday (November 11th). Naughty Gaga confessed her newest batch of tracks were written while she was under the influence.
"I was less drunk and more high on this record. If that makes sense," she told Elle magazine.
The singer also lit up a huge spliff while on stage in Amsterdam in September 2012, prompting outrage from anti-drug charities and fans alike.
