Celebs and rugby legends prepare to pay tribute to BOD

RUGBY studs and all manner of celebs will walk the green carpet to pay homage to Brian O'Driscoll in Dublin.

The Convention Centre will play host to the testimonial dinner for one of Ireland's greatest rugby stars tomorrow night.

Rockabilly starlet Imelda May will perform a scorching set for BOD and the boys at the event.

After all the speeches and toasts, the rugby set and alakadoos will hit the dance floor as retro coiffed Imelda belts out Boom-Boom hits.

And it's set to be a star-studded line out for the former Ireland captain.

Jonny Sexton says a temporary au revoir to the boulevards of gay Paris and plans to march up the green carpet with his wife Laura Priestly.

Just days after his own testimonial dinner in Cork City Hall, Ronan O'Gara and wife Jessica Daly will also attend the glitzy event.

Keith and Lisa Duffy have booked their prized seats at the sold-out event and celebrity chef and surprising rugby enthusiast Dylan McGrath is also on the glittering guest list.

Players and brothers in arms Rob and Dave Kearney are due to attend as are Cian Healy and model girlfriend Holly Carpenter.

Ireland and Leinster stalwarts Sean O'Brien and Jamie Heaslip will also be there to cheer O'Driscoll on.

And last but not least, proud-as-punch wife Amy Huberman will be delighted to support Brian on his big night. Once inside the 1,000 guests will tuck into a top notch three-course meal, there will be speeches, toasts and video footage of from Brian's career.

The Leinster centre has been out of action with a torn calf muscle for the last month but has just completed his rehab period. And what better way to celebrate then with an old fashioned knees-up.

Glitz and glamour to one side, 100pc of the proceeds will go to two Irish children's charities -- The ISPCC and Temple Street Children's Hospital.
