Orlando Bloom breaks silence on Miranda Kerr split

Supermodel Miranda Kerr and actor Orlando Bloom have confirmed they have ended their marriage. They have a son, Flynn, together.

 Orlando Bloom says he and Miranda Kerr will always “love each other.”

The pair were together for three years before getting married in 2010.

Despite ending their romantic relationship earlier this year, the actor insists they will be bonded through their son Flynn, two, forever.

"We love each other, we're a family," Orlando told Katie Couric in an interview set to air on Friday.
"We're going to be in each other's lives for the rest of our lives. There's no question for the sake of our son and everything else, we're going to support one another and love each other as parents to Flynn."

Orlando goes on to explain that while the break up is sad, he’s being philosophical about it. The 36-year-old also insists there is no resentment between himself and Miranda.

"And you know, life doesn't always work out exactly as we plan or hope for but fortunately we're both... we're adults,” Orlando added. “We love and care about each other and we, most of all, love our son."

The Lord of the Rings star is currently with Miranda and Flynn in New York, where the family have been spotted out together frequently since announcing their split.

Orlando is currently starring in Romeo and Juliet on Broadway.

He is clearly handling single life well, making light of things with host Stephen Colbert on his TV show.

 "Let's talk elephant in the room, you've got something going on with you right now, we don't have to talk about it," Colbert joked on Tuesday. "If you want to talk about it you let me know, OK? All I'm going to say is there are a lot of fish in the sea. You're a good looking guy."
