The two singers will join other
performers, which include Fifth Harmony, Austin Mahone and Florida
Georgia Line, at the annual parade that will be held in New York City on
Thursday, November 28.
Carrie Underwood has been announced as a performer at the 87th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. The country crooner, who will bring along her "The Sound of Music Live!" co-stars, is joining other performers that include Ariana Grande, Fifth Harmony, Austin Mahone, Goo Goo Dolls and Florida Georgia Line.
The bearded Robertson family from the popular A&E show "Duck Dynasty" will make appearances alongside Kellie Pickler, Megan Hilty, Kristin Chenoweth and Joan Jett. Meanwhile, Jimmy Fallon and The Roots will take part in the event with the cast of "Sesame Street".
NBC's "Today" show co-anchors Matt Lauer, Al Roker and Savannah Guthrie will host the event that will involve 8,000 participants. More than 3.5 million spectators are expected to watch from the sidelines. Millions more are expected to watch the parade on television.
This year's parade will include over 50 character balloons, 30 floats, 1,600 cheerleaders and dancers, 900 clowns and 11 marching bands. New balloons include SpongeBob SquarePants, "How to Train Your Dragon" character Toothless as well as Snoopy and his bird pal Woodstock. There will also be a tribute to "The Wizard of Oz" in honor of the film's 75th anniversary
Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade will begin at 09:00 A.M. ET in New York City on Thursday, November 28.
