Jamie Lynn Spears: I Want A Collaboration With Britney

 

Jamie Lynn Spears gave an interview at  CMT and she was talking about her sister. She said: 

“Britney had been working on music since I could remember. This was just what she did. But when I heard her on the radio, I didn’t understand. My friends were like. ‘Your sister’s a singer.’ And I was like, ‘What do you mean a singer? Like a Mariah Carey singer?’ That’s how — in my 7-year old brain — I related to what my sister was doing. At that time, I didn’t even know of any singers’ names, so I don’t know why I knew about Mariah Carey. I was so little.”

Jamie Lynn remembers only the positive aspects of  Britney’s fame

“Even as a young child, I knew it was good to see Britney being recognized for the hard work she’d put in since she was literally 4 years old. More than anything, I saw that,” she said. “I don’t remember it any other way, mostly because I was very shielded from any of the negative parts.”

Is a new duet from Spears’ sisters in te works?

“I would never say never, but right now I’m just focusing on the songs I already have. If something made sense, I would, of course, love to collaborate with my sister.”

Cool Vegan™ and Mr Beyoncé Jay Z is at the centre of an alleged $20 million extortion plot involving master recordings of some of his music songs, and bless him because can you imagine having to tell Beyoncé bad news like that after she’s spent a long, hard day being Beyoncé? Poor Jay Z.

Anyway according to TMZ, police in New York and Los Angeles have launched an investigation into an alleged extortion plot, focusing on music producer Chancey Mahan, who it seems attempted to use master recordings of various fun music songs to squeeze money out of his targets.

And one of those targets and some of those recordings happen to include Jay Z’s Roc-A-Fella masters from 1998 to 2002, with TMZ reporting the tapes – formerly thought to have been lost – had been offered by the producer to Jay’s Live Nation business partners . For money. Lots of money.

It’s thought Mahan asked for a $100,000 storage fee for the tapes – later lowered to $75,000 – but was apprehended by the police when he went to his storage facility on Friday (April 18), which we’re guessing is because someone ate some cheese. Moral of the story: don’t trust anyone who’s name is literally ‘Chancey’.
Los Angeles police are now investigating, while Jay's legal team has filed a complaint for grand larceny in New York. The masters have been confiscated and Beyoncé has sent Jay Z to his room with no dinner.

We sort of forget about Avril Lavigne – and then we jolt awake when we remember that she only went and married CHAD KROEGER and made one of the weirdest married unions in music history.
Ah, that and Sk8er Boi. Yes, Avril, yes.

Anyway, Avril’s come back from washing Chad’s undies (oh, gosh… what an image) and is reincarnating her music career – with an effort that would have made Gwen Stefani proud, or actually, probably more like irritated, circa her Love. Angel. Music. Baby. days.

In Avril’s video for new track Hello Kitty, she goes all Japanese-inspired and sings about kitties being pretty.
There are Japanese dancers. Lots of 'em. And a full-on Skrillex-inspired dubstep vibe. Interesting to say the least. We reckon it’s, er, a grower.

One question remains: does Avril wear her Harajuku outfits for Chad when she’s being Mrs Nickelback at home? Actually, no, let’s leave that thought there.

Selena Gomez forced to up her home security because of ‘trespassers’

It’s not all fun and games being a super hot popstar like Selena Gomez – the star has had to up security at her house after repeated incidents of trespassing in the past few weeks. And no, it wasn't Justin Bieber trying to serenade her and win her back, funnily enough!

Selena lives in a $3million gated estate, but that hasn’t been enough to keep one fan off her property. According to TMZ, Selena has upgraded her security after the same person was caught on her property twice in the space of a week.

The trespasser pleaded no contest to trespassing after the first occasion and was sentenced to 45 days in prison with three years probation but was reportedly released after just 48 hours due to overcrowding. Within hours, he had reportedly retuned to Selena’s home and was arrested for the second time. Scary stuff!
Selena is just the latest celeb to have to increase their personal security, following in the footsteps of Taylor Swift who also had to up her protection after a man was found at her beach house last year. You’d hope for $3million you’d get a big old fence, but even that is clearly not enough to keep the diehard fans away! Eek!

Robin Thicke’s Blurred Lines is the UK’s most downloaded track of all time and come ON everybody sort yourselves OUT

Popstar Robin Thicke has taken time out from his busy schedule of rubbing aftershave samples from the pages of men’s magazine furiously onto his own neck to celebrate the fact that his song Blurred Lines has become the most downloaded song in UK chart history.

Fervent sunglasses-indoors-wearer Robin – who teamed up with T.I. and Pharrell Williams for the song in May last year – claimed top spot in the All-Time Official Download Chart Top 100 yesterday after selling 1.54 million copies in 11 months since its release.

Anyway he was given an award yesterday to mark the terrible occasion and said some words about how pleased he was that 1.54 million people had contributed to his ‘buying novelty condoms out of them machines in pub bathrooms’ fund by purchasing his song.

“I'm so honoured,” he quoted Marvin Gaye as saying. “The success of Blurred Lines is a dream come true."



Official Charts Company chief, your boy Martin Talbot, added: “Blurred Lines is surely one of the catchiest pop hits of all time, so its success is no great surprise.

"But to become one of only two tracks to have been downloaded 1.5m times and climb to the top of the poll as the biggest download of all time is an incredible achievement."

Adele’s Someone Like You follows in second place in the charts, while Moves Like Jagger is third. That Gotye one who did Somebody That I Used To Know came fourth. Unreal.

Anyway we’ve just checked and Robin Thicke has actually done three entire songs since Blurred Lines but you can’t name a single one of them, can you? The year is 2044. Robin Thicke is gyrating his ancient pelvis around a microphone. “I know you want it,” he whispers. He is cursed forever to sing Blurred Lines under bright lights on TV. His marriage has turned to dust. The balloons that say how big his junk is have long since deflated. “Kill me,” he screams. “LET ME DIE.” No, Robin Thicke. You may not die.

Drew Barrymore has given birth to her second daughter!

Drew Barrymore has given birth to her second daughter! DW welcomed the new arrival last night, along with her husband, Will Kopelman.

The little girl has been named Frankie Barrymore Kopelman and will join her 19-month-old sister, Olive in the Barrymore/Kopelman household.

"Happy to announce that today we are the proud parents of our second daughter, Frankie Barrymore Kopelman.

"Olive has a new little sister, and everyone is healthy and happy!"

Speaking about the pregnancy back in November, Drew said she felt "overjoyed”, adding: "It always feels so surreal, it's incredible. [I'm feeling] incredible, that, 'Here we go again' feeling. And blessed. Blessed!"

"Will is just thrilled - we both are. We just wanted so badly for Olive to have a sibling. In some ways, it's really for her. So congratulations, Olive!"

“It’s not like I’m the spinster who didn’t have a child”: Cameron Diaz says she’s OK with not having had kids

Cameron Diaz has opened up about her decision not to have children, and says she feels blessed to have so many friends children in her life and has no regrets.

Cameron, who stars in the upcoming movie The Other Woman, has dated several rather eligible batchelors in her time (erm, Justin Timberlake anyone?) but has defended her decision not to start a family of her own.
Cameron told The Telegraph, “I've never said never to anything in life. If I wanted kids, at any point in life, I would have them. But I'm certain that if at any point I wanted a child, that child would find its way into my life, whether through adoption, or through being in a relationship with somebody who has a child.”

And it seems Cameron has no shortage of mini humans in her life as it is. She revealed, “I can't see the future, but one thing I do know is that I'm not childless. I have a ton of children in my life. I can have a kid  any second, if I want. All my friends would be like, 'Sure, come and get them.’” Make sure you give them back at the end though!

Cameron also said she wasn’t the only one in her circle of friends not to have popped out another human. She said, “I also, by the way, have a lot of girl  friends who don't have children. It's not like I'm the spinster who didn't have a child. I just didn't do that in life, and I'm OK with that. I know the choices I made.”

“I know why I made them. I'm very much a person who lives in the moment. When you come from where I do, there are so many ways my life could have gone.” Well, kids or not, we think it’s going pretty well!

Leonardo DiCaprio might be in the new Danny Boyle-directed Steve Jobs biopic.

It’s being strongly rumoured that the man who never stops working, AKA Leonardo DiCaprio, is going to play Steve Jobs in an as-yet-untitled film about the Apple founder.
Er, YES PLEASE.
Leo made the stock market not just interesting, but actually, like, FUN in The Wolf Of Wall Street (no mean feat. Though Jonah Hill did lend a hand).
Do it, Leo.
You’re probably totally exhausted but we don’t particularly care. And you know. It might finally win you that Oscar. Yes, we said it.
And if it's any man who can make a film about computer stuff exciting then it's Leo, riiiight?
We’re even willing to put Leo’s Coachella Dad Dancing Moment™ behind us if he does another film, pronto. Ok, that’s a lie. We loved that little dance. And now we’re off to watch it again.
