Details of Kate Middleton's Kensington Palace renovation revealed; get ready for some serious beige and cream…

Kate Middleton, better known to her loyal subjects as Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, has been a very busy little bee. Not only has she been getting to grips with life as a new mother, but has also reportedly spent the last 18 months renovating Apartment 1A at Kensington Palace.
Which makes sense; we imagine the wife of Prince William wants it to be the perfect home for little Prince George.
Palace insiders spilled the beans on the new home to an American publication, explaining that Kate kept tabs on the renovation of the 20-room home by scrolling through photos on her phone of antique offerings from the Royal Collection, fabric swatches and potential furniture.
"Their home is beautiful. This is a very exciting time for them"

It was a complete overhaul job for K-Middy, thanks to the fact that asbestos was discovered before the big renovation job. But we imagine that Kate, who studied History of Art at the University of St Andrews, was very happy to be given the chance to put her own stamp on the royal residence.
According to those same sources, Kate - who apparently kept many of the home's original details - used a subtle colour palette of beiges, creams and earth tones (sounds exciting!), working with her mother Carole's designer, Anne Allen, to perfect all those iddy-biddy details.
So far, we've found out that there's a his 'n' hers bathroom, encrypted WiFi capabilities, three kitchens, two 19th century Corinthian lamps, a VERY expensive Persian rug and the ultimate luxury; a panic room.
"Kensington Palace is safe and contained, and such a welcoming environment. You feel like you have freedom there," explained a former resident.
We can't wait for the house warming party!
