Blake Lively: ‘Chocolate makes me happy’

A night-vision camera slowly pans across a sleek minimalist kitchen, all gleaming stainless steel sinks and hidden cupboards. A snuffling noise; a rustle of packaging; a flash of monstrous chewing jaws. It’s Blake Lively and she’s having a midnight feast, because that’s what she does.

Yes, the Gossip Girl star has spilled the beans on her human foibles, and it turns out she’s just as partial to a snack or five as the rest of us.

Speaking to interviewers recently, the Hollywood A-lister – who has just been announced as the new face of L’Oreal Paris – explained that she “does nothing” to watch her fantastic figure.

“I'm lucky to have a very active lifestyle,” she claimed. “I'm always running around everywhere... So I don't need to hire a coach or watch what I eat.”

Asked about her guilty pleasures, she answered: “I can't start my day off without a mug of hot chocolate or finishing off the day with a few squares of dark chocolate... It keeps me feeling happy.” Whadda girl, eh? We’re not jealous. Not one tiny bit.

As well as managing to avoid a frocky horror ensemble at the Met Ball, legsy Ms. Lively has been snapped parading her Ryan-bagging bod in New York. In one look the ex-Gossip Girl star strutted the streets in a cosy blue coat and little else.

In her second look of the day Blake rocked ice-white with noir extras. Loving those retro mirrored shades!
