Robert Pattinson and Benedict Cumberbatch join forces for new movie; fans explode with excitement

Robert Pattinson and Benedict Cumberbatch are both British, both pretty awesome actors and both the focus of a LOTTA crazed fans' attentions. We're thinking Twihards and Benebitches; all intense, all delightfully enamoured with their leading men.

So we imagine the world is going to go a little crazy now that Benedict and RPattz are teaming up for a brand-new movie together.

YUH-HUH, WE'RE TOTALLY SERIOUS GUYS!

According to the print issue of ScreenDaily at the AFM (via The Playlist), the Robster and Benny-boy will be joining forces for the movie adaptation of David Grann's book The Lost City of Z, all about a British explorer lost in the Amazon searching for the City of Z.
While it's not clear who will be taking on the lead role of British explorer Colonel Percy Fawcett, it is pretty clear that this is the sort of film that's going to get cinephiles chomping at the bit. Fawcett (rumoured to be the inspiration for Indiana Jones) went hunting about for the so-called City of Z in the Amazon, but mysteriously disappeared in 1925. Why? We have no idea. Hence the word 'mysteriously'.

Sounds pretty intriguing, right? And, whatever happens, it'll be fun seeing Sherlock Holmes and Edward Cullen team up on the big screen together at last. It's the sort of stuff fanfiction writers dream of...
