Doctor Who fans (or Whovians, as we prefer to be called) are counting down the days until the 50th anniversary of the show, which will see David Tennant and Matt Smith join forces as the 10th and 11th Doctors for Doctor Who: The Day Of The Doctor.
Which all sounds very intense - but quite vague. How will the previous incarnation of the Doctor meet with the current versh? And why will they be joining forces? And, more importantly, will they be exchanging hair tips?
While we don't have any concrete answers for you, we do have some exciting news: the BBC has only gone and released a short statement detailing what lies in store for viewers of the show.
Are you ready for this, Whovians?
"In 2013, something terrible is awakening in London’s National Gallery; in 1562, a murderous plot is afoot in Elizabethan England; and somewhere in space an ancient battle reaches its devastating conclusion", the synopsis reads.
"All of reality is at stake as the Doctor’s own dangerous past comes back to haunt him."
The episode won't just see Matt Smith and David Tennant come together; Billie Piper's Rose Tyler has also been billed for an appearance. And John Hurt, as a previously unrecognised incarnation of the Doctor, will be in attendance too.
Throw in new companion Clara (AKA Jenna-Louise Coleman) and you have a recipe for success. Fingers crossed that the 50th anniversary special does the much-loved show justice - there'll be no hopping in a Tardis to go back and rewrite it if it's a flop, Stephen Moffat!
