Chris Pine reckons Lindsay Lohan is owed a comeback, a la Robert Downey Jr and Drew Barrymore

Lindsay Lohan may have a lotta haters on her case, but Chris Pine - oh he of Star Trek fame - isn't one of them.

In fact, the blue-eyed actor, who starred alongside LiLo in Just My Luck, has been busy waxing lyrical about the troubled actress. And he reckons that, just like Robert Downey Jr and Drew Barrymore, Lindsay will rise out of the ashes of her career like a phoenix.
A gloriously beautiful phoenix.

“She’s had a rough go of it. I’m sure the trials and tribulations that she’s been through have taught her plenty,” he explained to Cosmopolitan.

“Our business loves comeback stories. From Drew Barrymore to Robert Downey Jr., there’s a long list of people who have faced their troubles, wildly overcome them, and succeeded.

 

“If anyone can do that, it’s Lindsay.”
Well, there we have it guys. Chris Pine thinks Lindsay Lohan is going to be just fine, so we all need to just BACK OFF and let her flap those phoenix wings. Or, as her rep puts it, "continue to succeed in her recovery."



In the meantime, Chris - who famously lucked out on the leading role of Christian Grey in the upcoming Fifty Shades Of Grey film - can get back to working on Into The Woods and Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit. And, hopefully, a third Star Trek film in the not-so-distant future...
