Fields, who has a 6-year-old son
Sebastian Alexander with husband Christopher Morgan, welcomes her second
child, a baby boy called Quincy Xavier.
Kim Fields, who played Dorothy "Tootie" Ramsey on "The Facts of Life", has welcomed her second child with husband Christopher Morgan. Fields gave birth to the baby on Tuesday, December 3 at 10:30 A.M. in Atlanta. The baby boy arrived weighing in at 8 lbs., 8 oz.
"We are so blessed and grateful to God for this newest gift to our family," Fields says in a statement. She and her husband named their second son Quincy Xavier. In addition to baby Quincy, Fields and Morgan are parents to 6-year-old Sebastian Alexander.
Fields and Morgan got married back in 2007. The former "Living Single" star announced in July that she would welcome another addition to the family after experiencing two miscarriages. "Sebastian and Christopher are very excited. We're very, very blessed," Fields gushed on "The Real".
"It was planned. We've actually been trying for a couple years. We had gotten pregnant twice and [miscarried]. Chris and I were very blessed to really have one another, to have our family and friends and our God to really get us through that. If I'm encouraging to anybody ... it's not like I'm the poster child for over 40 and pregnant," she added.
"Funny enough, for a minute I thought I was getting pre-menopausal 'cuz certain things were starting to be irregular and then other symptoms started - my memory and I was clumsier than normal which I couldn't even believe was possible. Then our son got sick with a stomach virus and I caught it. Chris said, 'No, babe, you're a little sicker than Sebastian. You need to go and get that checked out' and I said, 'Okay.' They tested me and said, 'Oh honey, you're not dehydrated. You're two months pregnant," she continued.
