The stripped down version of PM
Dawn's 1992 hit arrives via AKVailt, Keys' new website where fans can
visit to enjoy her unreleased videos, photos, blogs and more.
Alicia Keys has shared her unreleased song entitled "Die Without You". Arriving in a demo form, the track is a stripped down version of P.M. Dawn's 1992 hit single. "One of my favorite songs ever! Had to do My version! Shout out to PM dawn!" Keys said of the song.
Recorded by Keys in June 2007, the slow ballad features the R&B queen singing over the sound of piano. "Oh I apologize for all the things I've done/ Now I'm under water and I'm drowning/ Is it my turn to be the one to cry," she croons before telling her boyfriend, "Cause if you're gone/ Inside I'd die without you."
Keys' version of "Die Without You" was shared via the singer's newly launched website, AKVault. There, Keys' fans are allowed to view all sorts of the star's unreleased content, from music to personal videos, photos, blogs and more.
"There's a big steel fortress at my studio that holds my secret treasure-trove where everything unreleased resides. Music, Live Shows, Video, Blogs and much more that I always wanted to keep but never exactly knew where it could be used," the "If I Ain't Got You" hitmaker described her "vault."
