Prince Harry 'giving Cressida Bonas time before proposing'

Britain’s Prince Harry apparently wants his girlfriend to pursue her own career before he proposes.

The 29-year-old royal has been dating dancer Cressida Bonas for around 15 months. Speculation the romance is serious has been circulating for some months, with claims Cressida has been spending more time with the royal family and was even invited to the christening of Prince George last month.
It seems that while Harry is deeply committed to the blonde beauty, he wants to make sure she will be happy having the high-profile role of a princess.

“Harry will want Cressida to feel a part of the family first and ease her in gently,” a source told British magazine Grazia. “Harry will want to show her what life would be like and also allow her to pursue her own career in dancing before meeting the queen and formally getting engaged.”

Harry and Cressida are believed to have spent October 26 and 27 at Queen Elizabeth II’s royal estate Sandringham in Norfolk, England. Harry’s father Prince Charles and his stepmother Camilla were present during her stay and they enjoyed a formal family dinner together on the Saturday evening. Charles appears to have given his blessing to the blossoming romance.

“Cressida was understandably nervous and she knows it’s a massive step and signals the seriousness of their relationship. She needn’t have worried – there’s no doubt she will have completely won over Charles and Camilla,” an insider revealed. “Cressida has a very easy and relaxed manner and will have bonded with Charles over their mutual love of organic food. There’s no doubt in my mind that Cressida will have got the royal seal of approval. Charles and Camilla can’t have helped falling in love with her, as we all do.”

Harry was apparently eager to show Cressida that the royal family are grounded and not at all stuffy. He even tested his cooking skills in a bid to impress his girlfriend.

“Harry and Cressida are likely to have spoken about marriage by now but he must appreciate that she will find the idea of becoming a royal quite terrifying. While their dinner with Charles was rather formal, Harry apparently used the rest of the weekend to show Cressy how down to earth they could all be and very sweetly brought everyone bacon sandwiches and cups of tea in bed in the morning,” a source said. “Harry will have taken Cressy on walks around the grounds and showed her his old dens from his childhood where he and William used to play together.”
