Disney refuses Star Wars delay bid?

Disney has reportedly refused to delay the release date of the new Star Wars movie.

Episode VII, which is being directed by JJ Abrams, is due to be unveiled in 2015, but following a writers reshuffle there are apparently fears that it will be hard to get it ready in time.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lucasfilm president and Star Wars producer Kathleen Kennedy and most of the film's creative team had wanted the movie to be delayed until 2016.
However, Disney are said to be determined to stick to the original release date,.
Last month it was announced that screenwriter Michael Arndt was exiting Star Wars: Episode VII, with director JJ and Lawrence Kasdan assuming scripting duties.
Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill are expected to return in Episode VII, with Benedict Cumberbatch, Alex Pettyfer and Michael B Jordan among those rumoured to have roles.
