Jane's Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro reminisced about his childhood in Hollywood as the band received a star on the Walk of Fame.
The musician, who was once married to Carmen Electra, embraced his bandmates as they unveiled the 2,509th star in front of Playmates of Hollywood.
The band were joined by rock royalty in the form of Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins and The Doors drummer John Densmore as they were cheered on by fans.
Addressing the crowd, the Los Angeles native said: "I never really though this would happen, this is such a magical day for me.
"My father explained to me when I was a kid what these stars were and what they meant. We would see movies of this street and I never imagined I would be a part of this legacy with this band."
Standing next to vocalist Perry Farrell, drummer Stephen Perkins and drummer Chris Chaney, he added:
"There is something haunted and mystical about it and to be part of that haunted Hollywood is so incredible and such a great gift and I'm very honoured to be here with these guys."
