We’ll admit we were pretty shocked to see Nicole Scherzinger sporting a dramatically shorter ‘do on X Factor on Saturday night. Would Scherzy really have lopped off her famous locks…? Don’t panic long hair fans it was all a ruse and Nic was in fact sporting what we’ve named a Fob- the faux bob- a ‘do that fools everyone (well some people) into thinking you’ve gone for the chop when in fact all you’ve done is get clever with some Kirby grips. Nicole’s hairdresser and Herbal Essences ambassador Ben Cooke told heat how he created the look:

"Create a rough side parting and draw hair into a loose ponytail using a transparent snagless elastic, roll the pony under the elastic and secure at the nape of the neck with grips.
"Finally use fingers to tease hair out into a bob effect and finish with a spritz of high shine hairspray.”
