Is Katy Perry engaged? Star steps out at the MTV EMAs wearing a rather blingy ring

So Katy Perry has done a thing, and we have to tread carefully here, but it looks like she might possibly be engaged, maybe, but just a little bit, sort of.

Basically the Roar singer stepped out last night at the MTV EMAs wearing a pretty sparkly diamond ring on a significant finger, and this just gives us a free rein to go wild with speculation about her current marital status.

The solitaire diamond sparkler glittered on Katy's elegantly manicured finger, set against the mint green Zac Posen dress she wore ahead of the awards ceremony.



No one from Katy's camp has confirmed or denied the rumours - probably because there's not much to this story at all, given that she removed the ring for her performance and to collect her gong for Best Female Act.
Katy has been with John Mayer for nearly two years since divorcing Russell Brand.

She recently spoke about her and Russell's relationship, telling interviewers: "I really loved it [our marriage].

It was a new, fun, exciting journey. But I like how I am now, and I think all things happen for a reason."
