The 'Law Abiding Citizen' duo
could team up anew against a group of criminals in the Millennium film
project to be directed by F. Gary Gray.
"Law Abiding Citizen" duo Gerard Butler and Vin Diesel could reunite in a new movie. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the former is in negotiations to play Kane in a big-screen adaptation of video game "Kane & Lynch", while the latter gets an offer to portray Lynch.
Lionsgate initially planned to pair Bruce Willis with Jamie Foxx on the key roles and Simon Crane at the helm. After the stalled attempt, now the project is back on track at Nu Image/Millennium with F. Gary Gray on board as a director. He previously worked with Butler and Diesel in the 2009 thriller "Law Abiding Citizen".
The story revolves around death row inmate Kane on a journey across the globe to retrieve a stolen fortune in order to save his wife and daughter from a gang of criminals. Lynch tags along for the ride. The script is penned by Skip Woods and Kyle Ward, with Adrian Askarieh and Daniel Alter as producers.
Butler was last seen in White House terrorist attack movie "Olympus Has Fallen" and has signed on for its sequel "London Has Fallen". He also reprises his voice role in "How to Train Your Dragon 2". Diesel, meanwhile, last appeared on the big screen in "Riddick" and is currently filming "Fast and Furious 7" and working on "Guardians of the Galaxy".
