Jennifer Lawrence says in French magazine Madame Figaro's special style issue that she was hyperactive as a child. Gracing the magazine's cover, the Katniss Everdeen of "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" reveals her childhood struggle in the accompanying interview.

"My nickname was 'Nitro' as nitroglycerin," the Oscar-winning actress says. "I was hyperactive, curious about everything. When my mother told me about my childhood, she always told me there was like a light in me, a spark that inspired me constantly. When I entered the school, the light went out. We never knew what it was, a kind of social anxiety. But I had friends."

In the spread, the 23-year-old star also reveals her hope to live as an ordinary person. "One of the dangers in the film industry is that things are too fast, aging and depriving have lived. I do not want to burn the stages of my life. I want to keep it simple, you see, I do not have an assistant. One that helps me is my best friend," Lawrence explains. "At the end of a day of shooting, I can go home and hang out with her, do what we do in 22 years... and not share time with someone who works for me."

Lawrence plays alongside Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, and Elizabeth Banks in the highly-anticipated sequel of "The Hunger Games" which will hit U.S. theaters on November 22. Lawrence will next be seen in "American Hustle" which is due out on December 18. The movie also features Christian Bale, Amy Adams, Bradley Cooper, and Robert De Niro among others.
