Miley Cyrus’ godmother, Dolly Parton, says she doesn’t have to be so drastic!
Miley Cyrus has been through the mill lately, poor girl – what with losing her beloved pooch, Floyd, and then falling ill after having a severe allergic reaction.
But luckily, she’s got good old Dolly Parton as her godmother to stick up for her when her luck is down.
But we’re not quite sure the 68-year-old quite gets some of Miley’s moves as she suggested, in a piece she wrote about her goddaughter, that the Wrecking Ball singer could tone it down a little bit.
The Nine To Five star, penned the piece to defend the former Disney star – who’s been named in TIME magazine’s list of the 100 most influential people in the world – and her transformation writing:
"If I didn't know how smart and talented Miley is, I might worry about her. She was very proud of the work she did as Hannah Montana, but people were gonna leave her there forever.”
Before adding: “Wrecking Ball is a great song. The whole album is great. So I'm hoping that now she can relax and show people how talented she really is.
“Cos the girl can write. The girl can sing. The girl is smart. And she doesn't have to be so drastic.”
We think ‘drastic’ may refer to the twerking and the smoking of rather suspicious looking cigarettes. Who thinks Miley’s going to take good old Dolly’s advice?
We’re not so sure she will.
