There’s a reason why Mariah Carey has a reputation for being the ultimate diva - and it’s because of stories like this one about her spending £28,000 a year on keeping her dogs looking pretty.

Mariah’s eight pampered pooches reportedly look forward to monthly treatments that include everything from a standard wash, cut and blow dry to blueberry facials and manicures. They’re also given regular anal gland expressions – which sounds rather less glamorous.

Cha Cha, Jackie Lambchops, JJ , Jill E Beans, Squeak E Beans, The Good Reverend Pow Jackson, Pipitty L Jackson and Mutley P Gore Jackson The Third (top marks to Mariah for inventively cute dog names) have a full-time groomer at their service at the Rainbow Pet Spa.

“Mariah pays for all the spa therapies herself and doesn’t expect any special treatment. Only her dogs get that,” a source tells The Mirror.

“While prices start at £40 for a simple trim, other treatments are extra and Mariah’s dogs really seem to enjoy their wraps and full body massages,” adds the insider.

Yeah, we bet they do – that anal glad thing aside we’d enjoy the treatments Mariah’s dogs receive.
