2 Chainz
has released the music video for his "U Da Realest". Directed by
Sharrod Marcus Simpson, the four-minute visuals finds the rapper paying
tribute to friend Puerto Rican Johnny, who passed away last year.
The 36-year-old artist is seen wearing a tribute shirt and being joined by several friends to wave their Puerto Rican flags. He later trades his shirt and gold chains for a suit as he makes his way across the cemetery to lay flowers on his friend's grave.
"I'm like a quarterback, watch me hand it off/ Drop the work in the pot, watch it cannonball/ I done seen 'em ball, I done seen 'em fall/ Rest in peace to my n***a, you da realest, dawg," he raps the hook.
"U Da Realest" is featured in "Based on a TRU Story 2: Me Time", 2 Chainz's album which was released back in September. The rapper's second studio set debuted and peaked at No. 3 on Billboard 200 chart.
