Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards plan beach wedding 'with Indian element' for 2015

As well as a Barbados beachside nuptials, Perrie and Zayn are believed to be considering other venues including castles in Scotland and Ireland.

Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards have their hearts set on a beach wedding.

The One Direction heartthrob proposed to the Little Mix beauty in August and it seems the wedding plans are already well underway. Perrie would love to exchange vows with Zayn in a sun-drenched ceremony.

“I think maybe Barbados. I would like it on the beach,” she told British newspaper The Mirror. “There may well be an Indian element for Zayn's family... I'd like that.”

According to reports, the couple may have to postpone plans to wed next year because their schedules are so hectic. Instead, it seems likely they will marry in 2015 instead.

“Perrie is particularly excited - mainly about the dress. She's also torn between having a UK bash, because all her family are here, and doing something magical and exotic abroad like Barbados,” a source revealed to the publication.

Zayn and Perrie both found fame with their respective bands on The X Factor UK and have been dating for around two years.

According to reports, the couple may have to postpone plans to wed next year because their schedules are so hectic.

Perrie recently revealed she doesn’t want to be engaged for too long, insisting the wedding will happen sooner rather than later.

The 20-year-old blonde also explained that she has asked her Little Mix bandmates Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall, to be her bridesmaids.

“It’s going to be a massive circus. I actually wanted to have quite a small wedding, but then all the girls in my family are desperate to come and would like to be bridesmaids too,” she said. “It’s going to be like the movie 27 Dresses where the bride has like a billion bridesmaids.”

It has also been claimed that 20-year-old Zayn wants "the greatest wedding ever" and has asked his One Direction bandmates Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne to be groomsmen, with Niall Horan tipped to be his best man.
