The diva, who's in her 'Mrs.
Carter' world tour, asks a 13-year-old blind girl named Sophie Kotkis to
help her sing a few lines of her hit song, 'Irreplaceable'.
A 13-year-old girl named Sophie Kotkis had an unforgettable moment when she attended Beyonce Knowles' concert in Perth, Australia. During the recent show, the young blind lady with hearing and muscle difficulties managed to perform a touching duet with the diva in front of other 15,000 concertgoers.
Wearing a sparkling blue jumpsuit, Beyonce knelt down on stage as she had a conversation with Sophie. "I have a very special young lady here," Beyonce told her fans before asking Sophie to tell everybody her name.
Leaning in and stroking Sophie's face, the star said, "I think I need you to help me sing this song. Do you think you can sing 'to the left, to the left?' " Sophie was visibly excited. She joined the star to sing a few lines of "Irreplaceable".
Sophie's sister, Ellie Kotkis, arranged the special moment months in advance with the help of the Hope For Children charity. After the show, Ellie told the Perth News, "[Sophie] had no idea that she was going to sing with [Beyonce], it was amazing. She's on cloud nine."
"It was so important for me because there's been a lot of things in life that Sophie hasn't been able to do," Ellie said in the interview. "She loves music, loves to dance, and loves to sing and this was just something for me to show the world how amazing she is."
