Dwayne Patterson, the bodyguard,
is arrested after assaulting a photographer who tried to take pictures
of the Canadian star's cliff-jumping on Shipwreck's Beach, Hawaii.
Justin Bieber's bodyguard was arrested after being accused of assaulting a paparazzo. TMZ reports that the alleged assault happened on the island of Kauai, Hawaii, on Wednesday, November 21.
At that time, Bieber was attempting to jump from the famous cliff on Shipwreck's Beach. The 19-year-old Canadian heartthrob was seen donning a red swimming trunks on top of the cliff while being filmed by his team.
However, Bieber's people weren't the only ones who recorded the star's action. According to cops, a 29-year-old man was taking pictures of Bieber until one of the singer's bodyguards approached the photographer and demanded he delete all his photos.
The photographer refused the request by the bodyguard, identified as Dwayne Patterson, who then assaulted him and damaged his camera. Claiming that he wasn't too hurt, the photographer refused any medical attention.
Patterson was arrested for third degree assault and fourth degree criminal property damage. He was released on $3,000 bail, but there's still no word whether the bail was paid by Bieber or not.
