Happy Thanksgiving to our American readers! And also: Yee-haw!
‘Pants’! Supersize me! Obesity epidemic! Freedom fries, y’all! Texas!
‘Soccer’! East coast! Westside! And that is about all we know about
America. We hope you enjoyed that.
Anyway, seeing as today is Thanksgiving (a traditional American
ceremony where people eat turkey before queuing up to attend 50% off
sales), Lindsay Lohan
– you know, the one who rammed a car into a lamppost and had a
screaming row with her own mother in a limousine and went to rehab – is
cooking up a storm in the kitchen, making ‘candied’ sweet potato
casserole.
Oh, and tweeting and Instagramming and blogging the whole thing. Get
this: she took pictures of the seemingly seven-stage recipe on
Instagram, blogged them with the caption
“so excited for this recipe!!
xx" and then tweeted the whole thing with “trying out a new recipe in
the kitchen! who wants a piece? x". And
only a few of the people who follow her made an open goal kind of joke
regarding the phrase ‘who wants a piece’, so that’s good.
Which is all very nice, because there was a stage earlier this year
when Lindsay was very sway-around-on-the-spot-y and we were a bit
worried for her long term health. But after a three month stint in rehab
and a post-treatment career spent huddling under Oprah Winfrey’s
protective wing, Lindsay seems vaguely on the mend.
Well, hm. This sweet potato recipe – which we looked up, because
obviously, because
it has marshmallows on it
– does call for half a cup of bourbon, which we can’t imagine is
exactly going to lead to a relapse but maybe Lindsay would be best to
omit.
