Jay's verses about the 'soft'
sport lacrosse also anger Major League Lacrosse, which later pens a
statement saying that the rapper won't 'last one minute on a lacrosse
field during a match.'
Jay-Z's feud with Drake is apparently still far from over. The hip-hop mogul recently decided to take a jab at the Toronto rapper in the verses featured in DJ Khaled's new track called "They Don't Love You No More".
In the track, which also features guest appearances from Meek Mill, Rick Ross and French Montana, Jay can be heard making a reference to a sport originated from Drake's home country of Canada. "Haters wanna ball, let me tighten up my drawstring/ Wrong sports boy, you know you soft as a lacrosse team," he raps.
While Drake hasn't yet to comment on Jay's latest diss, Major League Lacrosse has. Not so long after "They Don't Love You No More" hit the web, a spokesperson for MLL wrote a statement to MTV in which they slammed Jay for calling the sport "soft."
"Lacrosse is often called the fastest sport on two feet. Players are on the field dodging and shooting balls at over 100 miles per hour," the statement read. "With that said we don't think Jay-Z knows what he's talking about when he calls Lacrosse 'soft.' I can guarantee you it is anything but a 'soft' sport."
"Mr. Carter would not last one minute on a lacrosse field during a match and he is more than welcome to come to any of our games and try," it added.
The feud between Jay and Drake started after the Canadian MC criticized Hova's music in an interview with Rolling Stone in February. "It's like Hov can't drop bars these days without at least four art references," Drizzy told the magazine.
Jay then fired back at Drake with his verses on Jay Electronica's "We Made It". Drake later dissed Jay again in his track called "Draft Day" before making harsh comment about Beyonce Knowles' husband during a Raptors/Nets game earlier this month.
