Niall Horan took Selena Gomez out on a date… to Nando's

Why did Selena Gomez fly into London last week? We assumed she was here to attend the Brit Awards, but actually the 21-year-old singer was here to go on a date with Niall Horan.

And if this story wasn’t cute enough, Taylor Swift played matchmaker and set them up.

“Niall’s always fancied Selena, and he’s made no secret of it. So when he went to Taylor’s gig at the O2 London on 2 February he talked to her about setting them up,” a source reveals to heat.

“He’s just split from Barbra [Palvin] and Selena’s trying to get over Justin [Bieber] so it’s perfect timing,” the insider adds.

So where does one of the biggest boy band stars on the planet take his dates? He treated Selena to a Nando's. Oh, the romance.

“Niall’s exactly the kind of guy [Selena] needs right now,” explains heat’s source. “He’s so sweet, a total gentleman and 100 per cent not a player like Justin turned out to be.”
