Pantelion Films and Lionsgate stick to their plan to release Paul Walker's final finished movie "Hours" on December 13. It means that the Hurricane Katrina film will make its way out just two weeks after the actor's passing on Saturday, November 30.

The decision was made after a meeting attended by both companies on Sunday. "After lots of back and forth, this is our decision. It's Paul's tour de force. He's in every frame of the movie," Pantelion's CEO Paul Presburger told The Hollywood Reporter.

Producer Peter Safran said, "Paul would have very much wanted us to move forward. He was incredibly proud of this project. We did a press junket two weeks ago, and I remember sitting with him and how excited he was for people to see this movie."

"He really looked to this movie to show people that he is an actor," the producer went on. "He was looking for something to showcase his acting skills, which he so rarely had the chance to do. He hit it out of the park."

In the film, Walker plays a new father who struggles to keep his newborn baby alive during the ravages of Hurricane Katrina. He stars alongside Genesis Rodriguez.

"Brick Mansions" and "Fast and Furious 7" will also be released posthumously for Walker. The actor was killed in a single car crash while on a Thanksgiving break from filming the latter film. The production was put on hold in the wake of the tragic accident.
