The new album, which is currently available only on iTunes, consists of 14 new songs and 17 videos.
The wait is finally over. Beyonce Knowles surprised her fans after she released her long-awaited album on iTunes. Bey's fifth studio effort entitled "Beyonce" arrived on Friday, December 13 at midnight without the diva promoting or saying anything about it.
Described as an "exclusive visual album," the new release features 14 new songs and 17 videos. It includes guest appearances from some big names, including Drake, Frank Ocean and Beyonce's husband Jay-Z. The songstress' daughter Blue Ivy also appears in a track called "Blue".
"Grown Woman", a track which was featured in Beyonce's Pepsi ad, comes as a bonus video, while Sia Furler-penned "Standing on the Sun" is nowhere to be found.
For now, the entire songs and videos can be downloaded for $15.99 only on iTunes. Songs will be available for individual purchase beginning on December 20.
The album's arrival verifies reports that emerged back in October. At that time, multiple music insiders said that Beyonce was planning to put out new music in December, after Katy Perry, Lady GaGa and Britney Spears released their respective album.
