The 'View' host also declares the former Secretary of State as her most fascinating person of the past 20 years.
Barbara Walters has unveiled her Most Fascinating Person of 2013. Revealed during her annual ABC special "Barbara Walters Presents: The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2013" on Wednesday, December 18, the person who landed on the top spot of her list was Hillary Clinton.
Walters also looked back at the past 20 years of doing the special and named the former U.S. Secretary of State her most fascinating person of the past 20 years. "This program started with the dawn of the Clinton era, and it seems we might be at the start of another," she explained.
Clinton had been selected as the Most Fascinating Person of the year twice before by Walters. The wife of former U.S. President Bill Clinton earned the title in 1993, when Walters first began her annual ABC special, and later in 2003.
Asked by Walters during the interview if she's going to run for president in 2016, Clinton said, "It's such a difficult decision and it's one that I am not going to rush into." She added, "I haven't made up my mind. I will look carefully at what I think I can do and make that decision sometime next year."
"And I don't think we should be looking at the next election," she explained, "I think that we should be looking at the work that we have today -- our unemployment rate is still too high, we have people getting kicked off food stamps who are in terrible economic straits, small businesses not getting credit, I could go on and on. I think we ought to pay attention to what's happening right now."
Also included in Walters' selection of Most Fascinating People of 2013 were Jennifer Lawrence, Robin Roberts, Edward Snowden, Prince George of Cambridge, The Robertson family ("Duck Dynasty" cast), Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, Miley Cyrus and Pope Francis.
