Rita Ora is recovering after passing out from dehydration

Rita Ora has been in the wars, poor love. When she's not being badgered by Calvin Harris pestering her to listen to his new mix for the 59th time in a row, or running out of super-red lipstick, she's fainting on the set of her idol's photoshoot due to heat exhaustion.

The singer had been modelling clothes from Madonna's Material Girl clothing line in Miami Beach, Florida, yesterday, when she was suddenly taken ill.

She'd been spotted looking queasy in the 30C heat and had to hold onto a nearby car to keep herself upright.

She then passed out and had to be carried to her makeup trailer to rest for an hour.
But she was still feeling sick after sitting out of the sunshine and an ambulance was called to the set.

Rita recovered in time for dinner with her friend

 

She left on a stretcher for the Mount Sinai Hospital in Miami, where she was treated by doctors.

Dr David Farcy of the hospital's emergency department explained: "Rita Ora was treated for heat exhaustion and dehydration at our hospital today. She was discharged and is fine."

Back in June, Rita announced she would be the new face of the clothing range designed by Madonna and her daughter, Lourdes.
At the time, Madge said: "Rita is a talented beauty but what really drew us to her is the confidence she oozes through her music and her unique sense of style.
"On stage or off, in photos or on the street - she's a magnet! This is what the Material Girl brand is all about."
