The 'Wrecking Ball' belter sheds

Miley Cyrus took a break from showing off her skin. The twerking songstress covered up from top to toe in a black vintage long dress as she graced the red carpet of 2013 Bambi Awards at the Stage Theater Thursday night, November 14 in Berlin, Germany.
Miley rocked a Jean Paul Gaultier long gown with bell-like sleeves and chic high-rolled neckline that gave somewhat sci-fi vibes. She paired it with Fendi heels and Lorraine Schwartz jewels, including a gold choker necklace with big pearls. A neat hairdo and dark red lips completed her look.
Her modest appearance didn't last long though as she took the stage later that night in a bright eye-popping crop top and high-waisted shorts. She performed "Wrecking Ball" with an acoustic band and received an International Pop honor at the event.
"Miley Cyrus is the star of the hour; all attention is on her. She is a brilliant musician who has what it takes to become one of the greatest entertainers of our time. With her performance at the MTV VMA Awards she generated international buzz. With her video clip 'Wrecking Ball' she broke down walls and simultaneously shattered her old image once and for all," said the Bambi jury.
Along with the attention came the controversies, but she shrugged the critics off. "I feel like I'm one of the biggest feminists in the world because I tell women to not be scared of anything," she defended herself in a recent interview with BBC's Newsbeat.
"There's absolutely no contradiction at all between being a feminist and taking your clothes off and being comfortable about displaying your sexuality. ...] Guys get to show their (chest) on the beach, why can't we? I don't understand the double standard."
Talking about her smoking stunt at the MTV Europe Music Awards, she claimed that it was a spontaneous act. "It's not something that I think about," she said. "I was just walking out of my room and then I was like, 'Oh, I have this in my bag. That will be really funny.' And I didn't say anything to anybody. It's not that I think about that ... and I don't tell anyone I'm gonna do it."
She added, "Some people I think overthink so much ... That's not why I do it. I just did it mostly because I knew the fans in Amsterdam would love it, and they started going crazy when I did it ... But I don't really care what the media says because I don't google myself, so I don't know what they say. And I don't care."
