Mariah Carey says being a judge on American Idol was like working in hell with Satan (*cough* Nicki Minaj)

Mariah Carey has opened up about her time working on American Idol and we think we're safe to say that she didn't really enjoy it.
At all.
The 43-year-old diva has claimed that, not only did she hate working on the US talent show, but that it was like going to work every single day with Satan.
And we think it’s pretty obvious who she may be referring to as the devil.
Yes, Mariah and fellow judge, Nicki Minaj, never did see eye to eye on the show – they spent most of the time silently seething, according to reports – and now it seems Mariah has made her feelings very clear.

We smell a row coming…

Speaking on US radio station, Hot 97, the Without You singer first said she wouldn’t talk about her former co-judge negatively, before ‘jokingly’ just saying it anyway.

Well, there’s no point in beating around the bush, is there?

“Honestly I hated it. I was the first person signed on and I don’t want to say anything that’s going to, heaven forbid, look like I’m saying anything negative, but I thought it was going to be a three person panel.”

 

“They [the American Idol producers] gave me a nice dangling monetary moment and I thought ‘oh okay, this isn’t a big deal’. But it was like going to work everyday in hell with Satan. Nah, just playing.”

We bet this’ll have Nicki rolling around on the floor in stitches.

At least you made a few more dollars to put in your bank, eh Mariah?
We’d go to work with the actual devil if the price was right.
