Peaches Geldof: post-mortem due to take place today

Following the very tragic death of Peaches Geldof at her home in Wrotham, Kent on Monday a post-mortem examination is due to take place today.

In a statement, Kent Count Council confirmed they would be conducting a post-mortem, and that the need for an inquest into her death will depend on the results of that examination.

"A decision on whether there needs to be an inquest depends upon the final results of the post-mortem,” said a spokesperson, they added that the results of an inquest “could take some weeks,” the BBC reports.

Police are treating Peaches’ death as “non-suspicious but unexplained and sudden.” We hope that the results of the post-mortem gives her family answers to the questions they need, and that they can carry on with the grieving process in peace.
