The A-list couple's 2012 Rose Miraval is included in the 100 Top Wines of the Year list by Wine Spectator.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt took an achievement in their winery business when their new Rose Miraval wine was named the best Rose wines in the world. Wine Spectator included the celebrity couple's drink among 100 Top Wines of the Year, putting it at number 84 overall.
"Refined and elegant, offering pure and concentrated flavors of dried red berry, tangerine and melon," Wine Spectator's editor Kim Marcus reviewed the wine. "The focused finish features flint and spice notes, with a hint of cream."
The wine, which is a collaboration of Jolie-Pitt and the Perrin family in Provence, went on sale in March. The reception was remarkable that all the 6,000 bottles were sold out within five hours since it hit the market.
Jolie and Pitt recently sold some of the wine from their private French Estate for charity. The money raised, a total of 8,500 pounds, benefited Democratic Republic of Congo to support an agricultural project in Africa. "We've organised this sale in solidarity with the people of the Kivu region," said Michael Latz, mayor of Correns. "It's in an area on bordering Rwanda which has been left impoverished by war. Young people and agriculture have been the principal victims of conflict - and yet they are the key to future stability in the region."
A 60-gallon cask, signed by the couple, were bought by wine merchant Vins Breban.
