Garth Brooks has his new box set, "Blame It All on My Roots", landed at No. 1 on Billboard 200, marking his ninth release to do so. The package of six CDs and two DVDs debuted at No. 3 last week, but it managed to rise to No. 1 after selling 146,000 copies.

"Blame It All on My Roots" is exclusively sold at Walmart for $29.98 before being sale priced for $24.96. It marks Brooks' second box set to hit top the chart after 1998's "The Limited Series" which contained six CDs.

Brooks' chart-topping new album dethrones last week's first placer, One Direction's "Midnight Memories", which falls to No. 2 with 117,000. Rising from No. 6, Kelly Clarkson's Christmas set "Wrapped in Red" ascends to No. 3 with 112,000.

Failing to debut at No. 1, Britney Spears' "Britney Jean" enters the chart at No. 4. The only new arrival in the top 10 opens with 107,000, smaller than expected as it was projected to start between 115,000 to 120,000.

Spears' "most personal album" also fails to beat its predecessor, "Femme Fatale", which debuted at No.1 with 276,000 back in 2011. Additionally, "Britney Jean" posts the lowest sales debut for a studio set by the 32-year-old diva.

At Billboard 200's No. 5, the Robertsons' "Duck the Halls: A Robertson Family Christmas" slips one rung with 105,000, while Eminem's "MMLP2" dips from No. 2 to No. 6 with 84,000.

Pentatonix's "PTXmas" EP rises 22 spots to No. 7 with 60,000, thanks to the video of their viral hit "Little Drummer Boy" which has garnered more than 16.5 million YouTube views. The track is one of two new songs on the deluxe reissue of "PTXmas" that was originally released in 2012.

Returning to the top ten is Michael Buble's "Christmas". It climbs from No. 16 to No. 8 with 57,000. The album was originally released in 2011 with five weeks at the chart's top slot. In 2012, it hit the chart's No. 3 during the holidays.

At No. 9, Katy Perry's "Prism" descends from No. 5 with 51.000. Rounding out the top 10 is Mary J. Blige's "A Mary Christmas" which goes up from No. 15 with almost 51,000.
